Michael P. Foley, Jr. was born in New Haven, Connecticut on July 26, 1954. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in 1976 and from Suffolk University Law School with a J.D. in 1979. He has been admitted to the following bars: Massachusetts (1979); U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts (1979); U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut (1980); Connecticut (1981); The U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals (1985) and the U.S. Supreme Court (1995). Attorney Foley is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, The Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, The American Trial Lawyers Association and the New Haven County Bar Association. Attorney Foley has served as a court appointed arbitrator, fact-finder and attorney trial referee in Connecticut since 1998. Attorney Foley and his wife, Susan, have two sons, Sean, age 20 and Timothy, age 17. Attorney Foley's hobbies include running, golf and coaching youth sports.
