Dog Bites
What is the law in Connecticut on dog bites?
In Connecticut, the owner or possessor of the dog is strictly liable if his dog bites someone and causes the victim to sustain injuries. As long as you were not teasing or tormenting the dog at the time of the attack, you should be entitled to compensation for any injuries that you received as a result of the dog bite. Your compensation can include the cost of your medical bills, any future medical bills that you may incur, pain and suffering and compensation for any scars that you sustain as a result of the dog bite.
Attorney Foley has handled numerous dog bite cases including the case of the 38 year old man who was bit on the face by a Dalmatian when he was making a delivery at the dog owner’s property, which settled for $90,000.00 prior to trial.
